Judges 21:25 says, \u201cEveryone did what was right in his own eyes.\u201d That wasn\u2019t progress. That was the end of the road for a people who had wandered from the Lord. No king, no compass, just folks doing what felt right at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That line\u2019s been echoing in my head today. Seems like we\u2019ve circled back around to the same place. You hear it all the time now\u2014\u201clive your truth,\u201d \u201cspeak your truth,\u201d \u201cthat\u2019s true for you, but not for me.\u201d But truth doesn\u2019t come in versions. What most people call \u201ctheir truth\u201d is just their opinion, and if we\u2019re honest, it\u2019s often just a way to excuse whatever they were planning to do anyway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When we each make up our own rules, there\u2019s no way to hold the line. If one person says theft is wrong and another says it\u2019s just resourceful survival, who\u2019s to say which is right? What about lying, cheating, harming others, or ignoring the needs of the vulnerable? Without a higher standard, it\u2019s just noise. And that noise turns into harm, sooner or later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

God\u2019s truth isn\u2019t popular, but it\u2019s good. It doesn\u2019t change with moods, trends, or social movements. His moral law has kept communities together and hearts in check since the beginning. Not because He\u2019s trying to control us, but because He knows what brings life and what brings destruction. He created us, He loves us, and He sees farther than we can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m not interested in reinventing morality to fit my preferences. I want to stay anchored to what God says is right. His Word may be old, but it\u2019s not outdated. It\u2019s timeless, steady, and true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The world may choose to do what\u2019s right in its own eyes, but I\u2019m asking the Lord to help me see things through His.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
